FAQ

1) What is Brack Attack™?

Brack Attack™ is a unique, new bracket contest that combines one's knowledge of college hoops, plus a little strategy and good luck.

2) How do you play?

The way it works is simple. The bracket has 4 regions, which consist of 16 teams in each region. Seeds are ranked in each region from #’s 1-16. You can only pick one team of each seed number fielding a lineup of 16 picks.

3) How do you win?

Points accumulate each time one of your selected teams wins throughout the tourney. There is a designated point total at each seed level and points double each round teams advance. The participant with the most total points at the end of the tournament wins.

5) How much does it cost to enter?

FREE to enter.

6) How old do you have to be to enter?

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

7) Are there any prizes?

1st Place wins $1,000
2nd Place wins $500
3rd Place wins $100

8) Is there a limit on the number of times you can register?

You are only allowed to register ONE entry per person. Violations are subject to disqualification.

9) When are teams announced?

Selection Sunday is March 15th, 2015

10) When does the Brack Attack™ contest begin?

The Brack Attack™ contest officially begins on March 19th

11) What’s the deadline for selecting your teams?

You can make and/or change your selections up until 5 minutes before the second round (first round after the play-in games). March 19th, 2015.

12) What if one or more of my selected teams loses in the play-in games?

Your selection or selections will automatically switch to the teams that won the play-in.

13) What if there is a tie for 1st place?

The participant with the highest number of points accumulated during the Competition will receive two thousand five hundred U.S. dollars ($1,000.00). If two participants are tied with the same number of points and both are more than all other participants in the Competition, then both participants will receive a prize of two thousand five hundred U.S. dollars ($1,000.00). If more than two participants are tied with the same number of points and all are more than all other participants, then two thousand dollars five hundred ($1,000.00) will be divided per capita among all first-place tieing participants.

14) What if there is a tie for 2nd place?

The participant with the second highest number of points accumulated during the Competition will receive five hundred dollars ($500.00). If two participants are tied with the same number of points and both are the second-highest among all other participants who are not sole or tieing first-place winners, then both tieing second-place participants will receive a prize of five hundred dollars ($500.00). If more than two participants are tied for second place with the same number of points and all are more than all other participants, in the Competition that are not sole or tieing first-place winners, then one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) will be divided per capita among all second-place tieing participants.

15) What if there is a tie for 3rd place?

The participant with the third highest number of points accumulated during the Competition will receive one hundred dollars ($100.00). If as many as five participants are tied with the same number of points and all are the third-highest among all other participants who are not sole or tieing first-place winners, or the sole or tieing second-place winners, then up to five tieing third-place participants will each receive a prize of one hundred dollars ($100.00). If more than five participants are tied for third place with the same number of points and all are more than all other participants, in the Competition that are not sole or tieing first-place winners, or second-place winners, then five hundred dollars ($500.00) will be divided per capita among all third-place tieing participants.
